On August 21st 1968, the Warsaw Pact Troops invaded Czechoslovakia. It was unexpected and violent and brought on a very oppressive regime which ruled in the country for the next 21 years. Millions of Czechs and Slovaks have their own, unique story from this very day. This is what August 21st 1968 was like for a clueless man who just wanted to help a friend, an American couple pulling a spy movie trick, a photographer just doing his job, and an angry and fearless man who, unwillingly, became the symbol of the 1968 Occupation.
